Meredith and I used technology to convey the 5 Generations on the cover of this book. We know there are many factors that influence the generational differences. World events, education, experience, economy, etc. The one seemingly obvious dividing line is technology. We can technologylook at the changing face of the workplace as a land of opportunity as opposed to a problem. The ability to deploy new technology systems and resources needs to be a thoughtful process. It will have a significant impact on business performance. With planning wrapped around the deployment, you can increase the chances of improve productivity, increase levels of quality, shorten sales and delivery processes, improve customer service, and ultimately drive revenue and profitability.

One simple idea, what happens when you end a face to face group meeting? What do your people do? Do they all spring to their feet to check their phones for texts, emails, and voicemails? How are they communicating with each other? All of this is valuable data to help you make critical technology decisions.
