“Gen Z has been raised on the Internet and digital age. Information has been a click away for this generation. As a result, Gen Z can naturally process information (and perhaps expect others to) at a faster rate. Like their predecessors, they are tech-dependent. They have been exposed to mobile technology at an earlier age as the ability to own a phone has become more economical and common with Gen Z. They are a generation of early adopters because of their ease of working with gadgets as well as the frequency of new gadgets, apps, etc. hitting the market. Look at the period between black and white TV and color. Look at the gap in time between Apple

product releases. The difference is huge! They are also a socially conscious generation. They will be interested in how green their company is. They will be happy to take a stand and be proactive toward being environmentally conscious at work. Gen Z has a constant need for connectivity with their peers. They do this with ease through the Internet. Smartphones have made this possible. Social media and instant messaging are their communication channels of choice. Their privacy standards are at an entirely different

level than previous generations. Their lives become open books on social media sites. It is common for them to open their day with how they feel and close their day with a summary of the day’s events to their friends. They can include images and videos to tell their story as well. This has created a bit of a dilemma in the workplace surrounding privacy issues. This generation is very entrepreneurial. The opportunities to open their own business have increased. It is common for this generation to run businesses that have employees besides themselves. With market challenges, a lack of job opportunities, and a knowledge base being a click or swipe away, they, in some cases, have had no other choice but to start a business to earn a living. The dynamics of business are evolving where significantly younger generations are in a place of ownership/leadership/management of older generation workers.”
